Our Disney Adventure

I'm finally getting around to posting pictures from our vacation in January. Taking four kids to WDW isn't for the faint of heart, but we had a lot of fun!

Getting my groove back?

Unfortunately, having a baby means that I am out of commission for awhile. Four months of pregnancy induced nausea, followed by four months of modified bed rest means that basically only the essentials were taken care of around the Nelson household!

Fortunately, it was all worth it. On June 13th, our sweet Micah David was born! He is a superb baby, but still doesn't sleep for large blocks at night. Although a bit sleep deprived, I am slowly getting my groove back. Cleaning, cooking, exercising and romping around with Ellie have all returned. Blogging, crafting and other artistic pursuits - not so much!

My goal is to blog at least once a week, so our far away relatives and friends know that we are thriving and having a lot of fun out here in Texas.

Reflections!

Ava and Noah both had a lot of fun participating in the "Reflections" program that was sponsored by our school's PTA. The theme was "Beauty Is..." They both decided that their media would be pastels on canvas board.

Noah drew a picture of his trip to Yellowstone. Notice the red Indian Paintbrush flower.

Ava drew a picture of a beautiful fairy, a pot of gold and a purple mountain.

Halloween!

We had a great Halloween. Ellie learned two new words "treat" and "candy." She uses both frequently. Ava and Ellie were 50's girls complete with poodle skirts and Noah was a 50s "greaser."
